Spanish Analytic Linguist Translator Certificate Program.
This class is the 1st class in a series of 6 in this program.
The EGWP course imparts a systematic approach to the use of the English language, beginning with an examination of words as the building blocks of sentences by examining the parts of speech and their functions in a sentence. This approach progresses through the course as learners engage in composing expository, narrative, descriptive and persuasive paragraphs, letters and essays in response to prompts designed to elicit these types of writing. This approach enhances their critical thinking skills by requiring them to focus on the purpose for each writing assignment. Professionals whose quality of work depends on their ability to express themselves clearly and concisely in writing will find this course useful because it requires them to analyze how sentences in English are structured and to engage in critical thinking as they write paragraphs and essays and review instructor feedback as they progress through each unit.
