Abstract: It has been stated that if 10 people see the same accident, all 10 people have different interpretations as to what happened. In our present society, those members getting the same news from various news media sometimes causes very passionate beliefs and behaviors - many times to conflicting ways. Personal bias used in both the delivery of messages and in the interpretations of them could be at the root cause of communications problems and resulting behaviors. In this class we will explore the human mind, its need for communication with others, the tools we commonly use, and the applications of Scientific Method to reduce misunderstandings and promote critical thinking.
